Magia: Charma Saga is Nexon’s next mobile game. I’ve covered a few Nexon games before, and there’s always a variation in what’s good or not. Their MMORPG Alliance vs Empires, I was not a fan. However, their match-3 puzzler Runway Story was actually in some ways refreshing to see from the developer. Their next game seems to be a side-scrolling magical adventure game. Right now, the game is in soft launch in Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, New Zealand and the Philippines. The game is available for iOS and Android in these regions.
The game looks like about 90% of games in terms of theme and art on the mobile gaming market right now. One thing I will say about Nexon games, is that their graphics are always on point. The game is a side scrolling adventure game which means some combat with a lot of numbers flashing on screen. Your damage counters, over the top combat animations, and cutesy anime aesthetic.
As of right now, you’ll be able to choose from 3 classes. A magic swordsman, battle mage, and spirit magician with the guardian swordsman coming out soon.
Players who participate in Magia: Charma Saga’s regional launch can partake in two special events to earn rare collectables. Marion’s Special Gift quest offers 100 Seeds and 200 Seeds for completing Act One and Act Two, respectively. In the Angel’s Blessing event, all instances of gold, stones and rare relics are doubled and enhanced.
