2020 may be the start of a brand new decade but it also seems to be a blast from the past with all the reboots, reissues and rereleases that’s in the works. From the return of flip-phones to the Final Fantasy VII remake, it’s been a dream year for every 90’s kid so far, and it’s about to get a whole lot better.

Originally announced last year at Power-Con, He-Man is getting rebooted as Masters of the Universe: Revelation and as if the news couldn’t get any better, the project has now announced an all star line up of pop culture icons. The biggest draw is arguably Star Wars main man Luke Skywalker and voice of the Joker in the Batman video games, Mark Hamill, who signed on to be the voice of He-Man’s arch nemesis, Skeletor.

He-Man himself will be played by Chris Wood of Supergirl and The Vampire Diaries fame while captain of the Royal Guard (And He-Man’s love interest) will be played by Buffy the Vampire Slayer herself, Sarah Michelle Gellar. It doesn’t even end there! Game of Thrones Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) and Davos Seaworth (Liam Cunningham) have joined the cast as well, voicing Evil-Lyn and Man-At-Arms respectively.

No news yet on when exactly the series will be getting a release date but production has already begun and is coming along nicely. A safe estimation for a release will be in the second half of the year so if you’re an ardent fan of He-Man, you won’t be waiting long for this sci-fi soap opera to come out.
