In a surprising twist for Twilight fans and Lego enthusiasts alike, the popular toymaker has officially announced the production of a Twilight-themed Lego set.
The winning entry, “The Cullen House,” designed by Lego fan Nick Micheels, also known as LobsterThermidor, is set to join the first 2023 wave of Lego Ideas platform selections.
Amidst the current resurgence of interest in vampires, with franchises like Interview With the Vampire and Baldur’s Gate 3’s Astarion gaining online prominence, the return of Twilight in a blockier medium adds a nostalgic touch to this toothsome renaissance.
The winning Twilight set proposal features the iconic Cullen House and includes four minifigures: Bella, Edward, Carlisle Cullen, and the ever-memorable shirtless Jacob.
Additionally, a brick-built werewolf form for Jacob is incorporated into the design.
The Cullen House, with three accessible floors housing a library, Carlisle’s infirmary, and a kitchen/living area, captures the essence of the Twilight universe.
While some aspects of the design may undergo modifications during development, the original pitch promises an impressive contemporary house set.
The Lego Ideas platform received a total of 71 sets for review, all of which garnered the support of at least 10,000 members from the Lego Ideas community.
Alongside the Twilight Cullen House, another winning entry, a Botanical Garden set designed by Valentina Bima, aka Goannas89, will also be developed into an official Lego set.
