Latest WhatsApp Beta FINALLY Allows For More Participants On A Video Call

A week ago, we reported about WhatsApp bringing over an update to increase the amount of users on a voice or video call from four participants. Now, in the latest beta update that seems to finally be coming to fruition.

WaBetaInfo have discovered in the latest beta for WhatsApp, the Facebook owned company have increased the group video call size from four to eight participants simultaneously. Now you don’t have to get on Zoom just to chat with a couple of friends, especially after all the issues that have arisen with Zoom as of late.

For now, the feature is only available in the beta version of the app, but it should be widely available soon for everyone. But if you were on the WhatsApp beta, you’ve probably got access already. WhatsApp’s video calling is not the best granted, but I’d say it’s the most widely and easily accessible for many people.

I mean, when was the last time you met somebody who didn’t have WhatsApp? I haven’t met someone like that since 2013 back when Blackberrys were all the rage. Oh how time flies.

What do you guys of the upgrade? Is it worth it? Are you finally going to be able to have those late night calls with up to 8 friends? Let us know in the comments!
