It’s been a long time since we’ve heard about Zone of the Enders. Konami announces a release date for the HD remaster of the series’ second game. Zone of the Enders: The 2nd RUNNER M∀RS, will launch on 4th September in Asia, and 6th September globally for PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation VR.

Pre-orders for the game open starting today. For a short time, digital pre-orders of the game from PlayStation will also give players an exclusive Zone of the Enders theme, as well as special avatars.

Additionally, Konami will release a 4K and VR demo version on the PlayStation Store prior to launch.

Zone of the Enders: The 2nd RUNNER M∀RS is a mecha-based hack-and-slash remaster of the original title for the PlayStation 2. The remaster boasts enhanced graphics, re-engineered audio, 4K resolution, and VR.

This game also includes new modes and features. Among them are an optional “Pro Mode” controller setup, a “Very Easy” difficulty setting, training modules, and a mini-map.

Lastly, the game will feature VR content in the form of a 3D hangar, 3D model viewer, and cinematic theatre.
