Tokyo Game Show 2018 is one of the biggest, if not biggest, conventions for Japanese games, and takes place later this month. Kojima Productions, the team behind the upcoming Death Stranding, announced today on Twitter that the game will make an appearance at the event on 23rd September 2018.

More interesting, however, is the mention that the title will be there as a stage presentation. As such, this may be the the first time we get to find out more about how Death Stranding plays.

The tweet adds that Hideo Kojima and cast members of the Japanese version will also be around to help present the game.

Lastly, the tweet provides a sneak peek of how the game will sound like in Japanese:

The last time we heard of Death Stranding was during E3 2018 back in June. Kojima treated us to a lengthy story trailer that was vague as it was intriguing. The game was first announced two years ago at E3 2016, and has since been revealed to star famous actors such as Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, Lea Seydoux, and Lindsay Wagner.

It should go without saying that we’re long overdue for a demonstration of how the game works, as well as some clarification of its odd plot. Hopefully TGS 2018 can deliver on that.

Death Stranding does not have a release date yet, but will launch exclusively for the PlayStation 4. Tokyo Game Show 2018 will run from 20th to 23rd September 2018.
