The world is still reeling from the surprise demise of Kobe Bryant, his 13 year old daughter Gianna Maria Onore, and the 7 other people onboard the helicopter that crashed in the hills of Calabasas yesterday. It’s hard to put into words the emotions we’re feeling here at the office or the immense legacy that Kobe Bryant left behind. This guy is the reason a lot of us started watching the game of basketball and his contributions beyond the game too were colossal.
If you ever needed an indication as to how big Kobe Bryant’s star is, look no further than the tributes that are pouring in left right and centre. From Presidents to athletes from other sports to Hollywood celebrities, one thing is very clear; the world is mourning the death of an absolute legend.
Kobe was a legend on the court and just getting started in what would have been just as meaningful a second act. To lose Gianna is even more heartbreaking to us as parents. Michelle and I send love and prayers to Vanessa and the entire Bryant family on an unthinkable day.

And that’s not even half of it. Ask anyone who’s competed in any sporting event, Kobe’s mamba mentality helped push some of the best athletes to their limit. Not only was he an accomplished athlete, but he also pushed others to be their best selves. Heck, Kobe even has an influence on things like throwing trash into the bin.
Thank you Kobe Bryant, for everything.
