IPC Shopping Centre is chiming in the new year through an innovative ‘phygital’ celebration with its ‘IPC Live Shopping Fiesta’ to uphold the annual Mutiara Damansara New Year’s Eve countdown festival. 

The shopping centre will be adapting to the event by doing a 12-hour continuous shoppable livestream consisting of exclusive deals, giveaways, and entertainment from local and international artists.

Starting from 12.30 pm on December 31 until 12.30 am the next day, it will be Malaysia’s longest and fully shoppable Facebook Live which viewers can shop virtually at the IPC stores and join games and giveaways presented by local influencers. 

The countdown will be climaxed with music performances by international singer-songwriter, Jeremy Zucker, and local songstress, Talitha Tan supported by Spotify and Universal Music Group.

“This New Year’s Eve will be slightly different for all, but we hope to continue offering exciting, fun and more importantly, safe celebrations for the community,” said Karyn Lim, General Manager of IPC Shopping Centre.

The tenants that are offering deals include IKEA Damansara, Harvey Norman, All IT Hypermarket, Fitness Concept, Popular Bookstore, Aeon Wellness, Padini Outlet, Happikiddo and Focus Point among others. Food and Beverage (F&B) tenants also include Hana Japanese Dining, Noodle Shack, Ichiban Ramen, Paradise Dynasty, Bucket B Café, and Bru.Day.

The ‘IPC Live Shopping Fiesta’ grants shoppers a distinctive way to shop and stay engaged as the new year comes. The 12-hour livestream event features tenants promoting their products and special deals, where shoppers can make their purchases anytime until 3 January 2021 within the Facebook platform with collaboration with Lalamove do the same-day-delivery for any purchases before 9pm within Klang Valley. Shoppers can enjoy free delivery, capped at RM20 when they are the first 500 to make a purchase on December 31 2020.

Here are the schedule for the event:

• 12.30 pm: IPC Live Shopping Fiesta begins!
• 1 pm to 10 pm: Exclusive promotions and sales from tenants such as IKEA Damansara, Harvey Norman, All IT Hypermarket,Happikido and so much more! There will also be games and giveaways run by the hosts.
• 10 pm to 11.59 pm: Live performances by Talitha Tan and Jeremy Zucker.
• 11.59 pm: Countdown begins.
