HUAWEI Launches MediaPad M5 Gaming Tablet, Priced at RM1,499

The mobile gaming industry is bigger than ever, with eSports tournaments cropping up, and titles such as PUBG and Fortnite making their way in. To meet this demand for mobile gaming devices, HUAWEI launches the MediaPad M5, a tablet designed around gaming.

The HUAWEI MediaPad M5 sports a small 8.4” screen. You’ll find a Quad HD+IPS display accompanying the 2.5D glass screen. Internally, the tablet is powered by a Kirin 960 processor, joined with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD).

If you’re planning on taking photographs, the device packs an 8MP selfie camera and a 13MP rear camera. In terms of audio hardware, you can expect HUAWEI’s usual Harman Kardon double speakers. The MediaPad M5 also makes use of the latest ClariVu 5.0 display enhancement technology; it dynamically adjusts photos and video playback if images are unclear or if the contrast ratio drops.

There’s a big 5,100mAh battery pack inside this tablet too, which is great for marathons. On top of this, the MediaPad M5 supports HUAWEI’s Quick Charge technology for low-battery emergencies.

The MediaPad M5 is now available in Space Gray and Champagne Gold colours, and retails at RM1,499. To celebrate this launch, HUAWEI is offering MediaPad M5 buyers a specially-tailored gamepad and free six month premium subscription on Viu while stocks last.
