Huawei announced the HUAWEI Y7 Pro, the latest entry-level smartphone offered by HUAWEI. The HUAWEI Y Series combines quality technology and stylish design at an affordable price. Retailing at the price of RM649, the HUAWEI Y7 Pro is a smartphone in the entry-level market and for consumers who want to dip their toes in the AI Lifestyle.
HUAWEI’s ‘Value for Money’ Smartphone
It comes with the HUAWEI Dewdrop Display which was first debuted with the flagship HUAWEI Mate 20 Series in October. It lends itself to great viewing experiences because of the screen-to-body ratio of 86.7 percent. The pearl-shaped notch houses the 16MP front camera situated on the vertical axis of the device.
Due to the large fullview display, HUAWEI has designed and implemented an ‘Easy Mode’ to assist senior citizens. It’ll make it easier to read and listen easily with larger font, larger icons and higher volume built in the HUAWEI Y7 Pro.

The HUAWEI Y7 Pro comes with an AI-powered photography technology capture beautiful shots with the camera. At the back, enclosed in a ceramic-like back cover and metallic chassis is a 13+2MP AI Camera. The primary 13MP camera has a wide aperture of f/1.8.
To add to that, the Y7 Pro comes with EMUI 8.2, Huawei’s latest Android O-based operating system. Alongside background optimizations that enhance smoothness, EMUI 8.2 features a range of battery saving measures. For instance, EMUI 8.2 features a Battery Saving Mode that disables certain features on the phone for better battery efficiency. These features synergize with the 4000mAh battery to last all day.
HUAWEI Y7 Pro is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core SoC. It runs with an Adreno 506 GPU with Vulkan support. HUAWEI Y7 Pro also supports expandable storage of up to 512GB via the microSD card slot.
Pricing and Availability
The HUAWEI Y7 Pro features a 6.26-inch HUAWEI Dewdrop display, 13MP AI Camera with a f/1.8 wide aperture lens, two-day battery and an octa-core Qualcomm SoC Snapdragon 450. It will retail for RM 649 and will go on sale in Malaysia from 6th April. It’ll be available nationwide across HUAWEI Experience Stores, authorized re-sellers and Maxis.
