As Huawei gears up to release and reveal their next flagships, the P40 and P40 Pro, they’ve done another one of their infamous teaser images. This time around, it’s less so obnoxious from last year’s P30 zoom teaser, but I guess it’s simplistic in its approach. Huawei CEO Richard Yu has said the launch will take place on March 26 in Paris, France, and now we’ve got this seemingly non-threatening teaser.

It shows of what seems to be their camera bump, and I honestly don’t know if that’s a good thing to market. Over the past year or so, we’ve been debating about the appeal of large camera bumps, and if leaks are to be believed, the P40 series is hiding a big one.

I mean, check out these renders and leaks we covered earlier this year:

They are reportedly holding going to go with a quintuple (five) rear camera setup, so it’s no surprise really. But I really can’t get into how the phone looks based on renders, and the leaks. But maybe, just maybe, they’ll be able to turn things around when they officially unveil the device.

Other specs that the P40 series are rumoured to have is a Kirin 990 chipset, and the P40 PRo will come with a 52 main shooter, 40MP cine shooter, 8MP telephoto camera with a 125mm lens. They’re also rumoured to sport a double front facing camera setup, which essentially totals out to a whopping 7 cameras, which is pretty crazy.
