After trying out the Samsung Oculus Rift and Hololens this year, I’m pretty hooked in the all virtual reality and holographic technology, the experience I felt on those gadgets…one word…phenomenal. The intrinsic value on this new science has somewhat an exponential possibility, industry application for virtual reality stretches the imagination and I am sure many cant wait to get their hands on it. More and more, companies are investing in developing the hardware and software to create compelling experiences that even the most skeptical of people can get into.
HTC is one of those companies that believes in the possibilities of virtual reality, and has invested in it by partnering with Valve Corporation to create the HTC Vive. The Vive is one of the latest editions coming to its product line, and to show the world the wonder of this technology, they are now taking it on the road.
The HTC Vive World Tour kicked off on July 9th in San Diego, CA, and will proceed across the U.S. and into Europe in the coming months, they have listed over 11 schedules in their tour including IFA in Germany.

The visuals on the head gear is a 1,200 by 1,080 pixel screen in front of each eye, with refresh rates of a blistering 90 frames per second, displays photorealistic imagery that fills your field of vision in all directions, it is said to eliminate the jitter common to previous VR technologies and transports you to another world. Besides you can also walk around the environment you are in on the Vive, making it different and immersive.
Developer units are already available from Steam and HTC, the company is also engaging with professionals in specialised fields to work on applications and gaming. The units are reported to be releases in mid-October and probably go commercial in early 2016, HTC says once released the sales of Vive will be made only from HTC sites.
