The Curved Monitor market just got a lot more interesting as Acer has now entered the fray with the XR341CK.
Mounted on a futuristic aluminium metallic base that is adjustable to provide optimal comfort with an ergonomic tilt from -5 to 35 degrees and height adjustments of up to 130mm, the stylishly designed and luxurious looking Acer XR341CK is a 34-inch IPS curved monitor that features a QHD (3440×1440) resolution with Adaptive-Sync Technology, which is designed in such a way to allow the GPU to control the display’s refresh rate to eliminate tearing and stuttering as well as reduce mouse dormancy.
Back to the screen. The zero frame curved Acer XR341CK provides its users with maximum viewing area, which is perfect for multi-monitor setups and daisy chaining for a broader view. The monitor sports a 21:9 aspect ratio, providing the user with an ultra-wide immersive viewing experience, perfect for gaming and watching movies.Other features of the XR341CK include a 100% sRGB and 6-axis colour adjustment for high colour accuracy and colour space reproduction, two built-in 7W speakers with DTS Sound, Acer EyeProtect technology which includes a flicker-less technology that helps eliminate screen flicker and Blue-light exposure filter, and picture-by-picture function which allows users to connect two inputs to the same monitor and view contents side by side on one screen. The Acer XR341CK is able to handle high rates of data transfer. As such, the monitor comes with HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort and USB 3.0 ports.
Apart from the XR341CK, Acer has also revealed the Acer XB270HU and the Acer Revo One. First off, the Acer XB270HU is the world’s first 27-inch gaming monitor that is equipped with NVIDIA’s G-Sync and IPS technology for a wide angle and extraordinary gaming experience. The 27-inch IPS panel monitor offers a WQHD (2560×1440) screen and comes with Adaptive-Sync technology, Acer EyeProtect, and ComfyView technologies that helps reduce eye-strain for heavy users. The XB270HU comes with Full Green Certifications such as Energy Star 6.0, EPEAR Gold Standard and TCO Certified Display 6.0.
Finally, Acer has brought along the Acer Revo One RL85 for the monitor reveal. Available with either the Intel Core i3 or Core i5 processor, the new Revo One RL85 comes with 2 hot-swappable HDD drives, which is upgradable to 6TB of storage space. The Revo One RL85 is able to support the full range of display resolution which includes the Ultra HD and 4K2K. It is also able to support multi-monitor setups. Apart from enjoying maximum realism and clarity on the screen, users can also experience full cinematic sound with the Revo One RL85’s 7.1 Surround Sound audio. Currently, the Revo One RL85 is scheduled for a mid-August release.
The Acer XR341CK and XB270HU will be priced at RM3,699 and RM2,599 respectively with the Acer Revo One RL85 having a starting price of RM1,500.
