HTC U12+ Is Bigger, Bolder, And Edgier Than Ever

HTC are launching the HTC U12+, their new big and bold flagship device. It has a 6” 18:9 widescreen yet still easy to use with Edge Sense 2. It is perhaps one of the nicest looking and most user friendly large screen smartphone out there.

HTC U12+

The HTC U12+ comes with Edge Sense 2; it’s a new touch feedback experience system that uses the edges of the phone. The new Edge Sense will detect which hand you are using the device with. It then optimises one-handed features for you. This allows things such as double tap to navigate, hold to lock screen orientation, or squeeze for taking photos.

It also comes with some of the highest-rated dual cameras out there; these cameras received a DxOMark score of 103, the highest for a dual camera smartphone. The HTC U12+ has two cameras on the front and back, allowing photos with DSLR-like bokeh. The UltraSpeed Autofocus 2 feature also has full sensor phase detection autofocus and new laser autofocus. This ensures you never miss your shot, while HDR Boost 2 lets you take fantastic photos in any lighting condition. You can also take great videos with Sonic Zoom to zoom in on sounds or voices. Together with one-touch auto zoom, it’s like having Hollywood in your back pocket.

The HTC U12+ also come with BoomSound speakers and USonic earbuds for the best audio experience ever. USonic matches the unique structure of your ear to shape the sound perfectly for you. This means you’ll hear every high note with crystal-clear precision and every bassline with thundering power. There’s also aptX HD for high-resolution 24-bit Bluetooth audio capabilities.

The U12+ showcases an even more artistic design featuring ultra-thin screen borders and new pressure-sensitive buttons encased in vibrant colors unlike anything you’ve seen. A Translucent Blue color that lets you admire your phone’s beauty both inside and out. Ceramic Black meanwhile offers a gorgeously sophisticated look; Flame Red delivers extraordinary, color-shifting hues in the most dynamic look HTC has to offer.

A Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 with X20 LTE powers the HTC U12+. The X20 LTE modem will allow LTE download speeds beyond a gigabit without compromising battery life. It also has a generous 6GB RAM and up to 128GB storage. HTC will be updating the U12+ for the Vive Focus too. This means you can now turn your smartphone into your own personal VR theater.

The HTC U12+ will be available in Translucent Blue from end of June onwards in Malaysia. For more information, you can click here.
