While we await for the official launch of HTC 10 in Malaysia, team PC.com has a unit in the office for a full hands on review. Before we release the full review of the much touted smartphone from HTC, lets take a brief look at the audio on the 10, after all these are the guys who gave the world BoomSound..and the world loved it. So how does the audio on the latest ensemble fare, lets have a look.

Hi-Res Sound

Fans will be glad to know BoomSound is retained with hi-fidelity speakers giving tunes coming out of the tiny speakers crisp, clear and laud without crackling noises, even with volume turned up high. The system embedded in the device is similar with acoustic systems, where you will find the tweeter and woofer separated with a dedicated amplifier for each speaker, this enables the user full control of audio quality, unprecedented from a smartphone. Hi-Res audio offers 24-bit DAC, giving a fuller sound reproduction.

To give listeners a true experience of the inbuilt sound mechanics, HTC  introduced a remarkable set of earphones that’s Hi-Res audio certified,  feature an 8µm thin aerospace-grade polymer diaphragm and 70% oversized drivers to pump out richer sound across twice the frequency range. With personalised audio profiling, individual hearing preference can be measured and will then dynamically adjusted to specific frequencies of each ear.
