Maxis “Not A Raya Film” Festive Video

Maxis has released a Raya video but calls it not a raya film titled Sarikatahati. The video takes the cue from previous Maxis video, trademark for heartwarming messages and this one is ticks all the boxes.

Touching on technology and chat apps like Whatsapp, the short film shows how children treat their parents when the older generation seek assistance on handling the new technology…needless to say youth are too busy to entertain.

Commenting on the video “Very often, it is never really about the excitement of using the technology, but for our parents, it is usually the unspoken words behind why they want to use new tech that are the most important. Which became the inspiration for our film #SarikataHati – Bukan sebuah filem Hari Raya to clearly highlight both messages this year. There is no better time than Raya to reflect on familiar conversations, while reminding Malaysians that these reflections should go beyond the festive season and become deeply entrenched in the everyday conversations and interactions with our parents,” said Sulin Lau, Maxis’ Head of Marketing Services.

To further illustrate the commitment, Maxis will be hosting a different kind of Raya open house, inviting customers and their parents to selected maxis centres for light refreshments and have personals on hand to teach simple things like setting up a smartphone, creating a Facebook account, sharing moments via chat apps and more.
