As a prelude to the upcoming flagship launch of the 9th edition of the Galaxy Note, Samsung has released three subsequent teaser videos on YouTube providing hints on what to expect of its new Note 9.
Scheduled for August 9 global unveiling, the Note 9 is rumoured to be packing key features that consumers have been craving for, the teasers reflect this with the first part dramatising a scenario when battery goes low in the mobile device. Second part plays up the more familiar constraints of storage or more so the lack of it, Samsung’s third video indicates the problem of slow load of page probably highlighting the new modem and chipset from Qualcomm that boosts speeds on flagship devices. The Note 9 is said to be fitted with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset that has proclaimed its superiority in extracting more from the network.
Samsung is placing all bets on its Galaxy flagships having since lost much of the market share in the mid and entry to the China brands who have dominated in the segment with cheap quality smartphones. With target now set at premium market, the S series and Note are under threat from the likes of Huawei P series and even with Vivo and Oppo who have joined the fray. However, the Note series has it’s unique proposition centered around the use of S Pen which is uniquely Samsung and this appeal will be fully utilised to garner more fan base for the coming launch. Expect more from the stylus!
