Thanks to Reddit users on this thread, we may have a clue as to just how high AMD’s Zen cpu can overclock. French Magazine Canard PC laid a long binary string as a kind of page divider on their article about the new processor. It read:

Reddit users used a binary to plain text converter and guess what they found:

“ZenOC@Air=5G”

Proof that the Zen processor can overclock to 5Ghz on an air cooler? Maybe. We’ll know for sure soon enough!
