Whenever a baby is born on an airplane there is a long standing tradition that the airline usually offers a lifetime free flight for the child. Airlines see the arrival of a new born on one of its aeroplanes as a blessing but often not would disallow heavily pregnant moms on board unless necessary.

Recently we read of a different type of arrival, in a Grab car. News of a lady delivering her baby boy in a Grab car she booked with a help of her friend went viral and caught the attention of the nation. In this case the Grace (driver) was not turning anyone away in fear of in-car delivery, instead she took the ladies in her car from Bukit Bintang and prepared to rush her to the Sentul hospital for her check-ups. However, the due date was impatiently brought forward by the new citizen between the trip.

Grab has taken this as a sign of blessing for its upstart that is about to revolutionise commuting in Asia and offered the boy a life time of free ride on the ride hailing service. Not forgetting the driver, Grab is also preparing something special for her.
