Flux Launches TÜV-Certified Smart Light To Tackle Vision Fatigue

Flux has introduced the HELIOS Pendant Light, a TÜV-certified smart lighting solution designed to combat digital eye strain and protect long-term vision health for screen-heavy professionals.

The product, launched in collaboration with Richard’s Prestige Lighting & Design, features RG0 TÜV certification that complies with the IEC R60 global eye safety standard. With 1.2-metre-wide coverage, 1600 lux brightness and RA>95 colour rendering, the HELIOS light delivers soft, vibrant illumination while reducing exposure to harmful blue light and eliminating micro-flicker that often contributes to eye fatigue.

“Our eyes are the most overworked yet overlooked productivity organ,” said the CEO of Richard’s Prestige Lighting & Design. “HELIOS is thus built for the screen-heavy generation, including designers, remote workers, and gamers who unknowingly suffer from invisible lighting issues. We designed it not just to look great, but to protect our all-important vision in today’s digital age.”

The solution arrives amid rising concerns over eye health, with studies showing up to 68% of screen users experience digital eye strain and nearly half of remote workers reporting worsened eyesight since shifting to online work. Myopia cases are also projected to affect 50% of the global population by 2050.

The HELIOS pendant integrates low-blue-light diffusion, PWM flicker-free drivers, and motion-sensing controls for enhanced usability. It also comes with four preset ambient modes: Polynesia Sky, Hungary Blue Hour, Vanuatu Beach and Sabah Sunset, aimed at supporting circadian rhythm and improving focus.

With a lifespan of 50,000 hours and backed by a one-year warranty, the HELIOS light is available for pre-order until August 31 2025.
