Earlier today, Fitbit announced its latest iteration to its most popular health and fitness tracker.
Featuring a sleek, swim-proof design, intuitive touchscreen display, and navigation, the Fit Charge 4 will be able to last up to 7 days on a single charge, keeping you motivated and connected throughout.
It now has a built-in GPS and Spotify too, for music lovers. As such, you don’t even have to bring your phone out with you. You can leave it at home as you will only need the Charge 4 to keep you occupied throughout your workout.

The Charge 4 will also be the first to come with Active Zone Minutes, Fitbit’s latest innovation. It tracks any workout that’ll get your heart pumping based on your resting heart rate and age.
It measures the time you spend on each heart rate zone, towards a weekly goal of 150 minutes for better overall health and well-being, according to both the World Health Organisation and the American Heart Association.
Apart from that, it has a feature that enables sleep tracking, too. It will be able to provide insight into your sleep patterns and suggest improvements for your well-being.
Plenty of other features are available to use for better sleeping patterns, such as alarms and smart wake (coming soon), which was previously made available on Fitbit’s smartwatches only.
Aside from just features relating to health and well-being, the Charge 4 also has smart features that will keep you engaged, but not distracted. You will get notifications for calls, texts, and apps, but you could opt to turn on ‘Do Not Disturb’ to keep yourself focused on your workout.
For anyone interested, you can also subscribe to the Fitbit Premium service. Accessible on your smartphone, it’s currently offering a free, 90-day trial.
The subscription service provides workouts, advanced sleep tools, and customised guided programs. To further aid everyone during this difficult time, there are 40 new pieces of free content within the Fitbit app. After the trial, the service will cost RM39/month and RM335/year.

The Fitbit Charge 4 will come in four variants; black, rosewood, and storm blue/ black. It will be made in IT Hypermart, City Chain, Flash Gadget, Harvey Norman, Timekeeper and Thundermatch stores.
There’s also a Special Edition variant that comes with an exclusive granite reflective/ black woven band. It also comes with a classic black band to easily swap out for workouts.
The normal edition retails at RM698, while the special edition is RM798. The Charge 4 will also come with many band variants for customisability starting at RM128 each, and will also fit for existing Fitbit Charge 3 users.
