EMC places their chips on Hybrid Cloud.

What is the uptake of Cloud technology in Malaysia? That is the question EMC Malaysia answered today as they revealed the findings of a Hybrid Cloud survey conducted in partnership with IDG Connect. According to the survey, all of the organizations surveyed used one or the other form of cloud in their organizations with 59% utilizing off-premise public cloud services, 51% on-premise private cloud solutions and 42% on off premise, hosted single tenanted private cloud solutions.

Aside from cloud uptake, the survey also revealed the pressing concerns of businesses when transition to public cloud. Issues such as trust and security, data protection and availability are some of the major barriers in adopting public and Hybrid Cloud infrastructures.

To smooth over the transition to the cloud, EMC plans to offer the EMC Enterprise Hybrid Cloud Solution built with either Microsoft or OpenStack technology in 2015. EMC will also introduce professional and educational services to help customers implement the EMC Enterprise Hybrid Cloud Solution within their IT environment quickly.
