You can now edit Google documents on Dropbox now. Dropbox Group Product Manager Josh Kapan said that the service is available for Dropbox Business teams. Users can store, create and edit Google Slides, Sheets, and Docs within Dropbox. You can also share and manage files on the platform. Any comments made on a Google file on Dropbox will alert you with a notification. Furthermore, Dropbox allow users to open and edit Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, or Word files using Google’s tools in Sheets, Slides, or Docs, respectively. Users will also be able to search for their Google files within Dropbox.

These features were in the pipeline since May last year. In July, Google and Dropbox unveiled a Gmail-friendly Dropbox add-on to allow users access their Dropbox while composing emails. The open beta currently available on its Mac, iOS, Windows, and Android apps for Dropbox Business users. Mobile users can preview files and make them available offline. To use the service, users have to sign up for open beta then pair a G suite account to use the integration.
