
G3 Global Berhad (“G3”) (formerly known as Yen Global Berhad), has inked a Collaboration Agreement with SenseTime Group Ltd (“SenseTime”) today to develop new artificial intelligence (“AI”) products and solutions while securing strategic opportunities with key industry players to spur digital innovations further in Malaysia. The agreement was signed by Mr. Puan Chan Cheong, Director of G3 and Dr. Xu Li, Group CEO of SenseTime.
G3 and SenseTime will embark on some key strategic opportunities in areas like national safety, security, surveillance, immigration, border security system, Know Your Customer (KYC), access control, smart mobility and connected vehicles.
On top of that, G3 and SenseTime will be working on developing the capability and capacity of AI talents in Malaysia by penetrating Malaysia’s education curriculum. The AI syllabus is designed and developed by SenseTime which is currently being taught in middle schools in China. AI courses being offered in Malaysia will be important as this will be one of the skills required by the future workforce.

He adds, “AI technology can identify people, cars and objects under an array of complex conditions which will then be analyzed. Predominantly in the areas of national safety and security, AI and big data are used to provide accurate imaging and face recognition analysis where it is impossible to be seen with naked eyes.””
