The US is currently in a state of peril, with protests and demonstrations raging across the country. Along with the shadow of a global pandemic, 2020 is certainly shaping up to be a year to forget for those leading the nation. First it was the lukewarm response to the coronavirus pandemic, and now, it’s administrations response to the outbreaks of protests that have now become violent.
The past three weeks could’ve been a great opportunity for Donald Trump to really win over all the haters. All he needed to do was respond to the unrest in a rational, appropriate manner. It’s safe to say he did the opposite. Trump chose to fight fire with fire and after three weeks, he’s still at it.
The US president took to Twitter to celebrate the violence used on protestors outside the White House last week and for the life of me, I can’t understand why. If firing tear gas canisters, flash-bangs and rubber bullets to disperse a peaceful protest sounds like overkill to you, it’s because it is.
And all for what? A photo op with a bible outside of a church. Not very presidential of him, I’d say. Check out his tweet below
Our great National Guard Troops who took care of the area around the White House could hardly believe how easy it was. “A walk in the park”, one said. The protesters, agitators, anarchists (ANTIFA), and others, were handled VERY easily by the Guard, D.C. Police, & S.S. GREAT JOB!

He actually used the term “A walk in the park” to describe how easy it was for the National Guard Troops to disperse protestors. Well Mr. Trump, when you put trained military personnel versus civilians, you wouldn’t exactly put your money on the civilians now would you?
Trump’s continued championing of violence to deal with violence isn’t the only problem here. His insistence that extreme left groups are behind the violence thats going on is the narrative that he’s decided will win him reelection come November, and he’s putting pedal to the metal.
The cops have already stated that a majority of the violence incited during the protests are the responsibility of criminals but Trump refuses to listen, going as far as to accuse a 75 year old protestor who got shoved by the cops of exaggerating his fall and being part of a conspiracy theory.
You can’t make this shit up. Children are supervised for a reason, and Donald Trump has shown time and time again just how much of a child he is. With five months to go before voting begins, Trump is going all out with his rhetoric that encourages open prejudice and bias. You have to ask yourself, is that the America you want your children to grow up in?
The choice is yours.
