Digi today announced that it was increasing their monthly broadband plans in line with the government’s ruling to improve the nation’s internet quality of service. Digi’s Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Loh Keh Jiah said that Digi is committed to boosting their user’s internet adoption by introducing affordability for every wallet size.

Here are the plans and upgrades;

RM45 plan – currently 15GB, boosted to 25GB

RM65 plan – currently 35GB, boosted to 50GB

RM105 plan – currently 75GB, boosted to 100GB

Loh commented, “These home internet plans in essence offer customers 1GB of data for as low as RM1. Last year, our network supported close to 150% growth in data traffic from more than half a million additional internet users in our base. We will continue stimulating adoption with a strong mix of affordable connectivity, and relevant digital services and content, experienced over a high-quality network.”

Digi already has 4G speeds of 10Mbps on LTE and 20Mbps on the LTE-A network.

For existing customers, these upgrades will take effect in the next billing cycle, while new users will enjoy the new data quotas when signing up.

These upgrades are a welcome to many users as video consumption is currently trending. Apps like YouTube, Netflix and others consume large amounts of data and these upgrades will allow customers to enjoy high-quality HD content without worrying about running out of quota.
