U Mobile
This week has been service after service being disrupted. First it was U Mobile on 26th March, where users were unable to call, text or basically use their phone. The Data and Voice service disruption was the cause of a lot of issues, even with us here at the office, where U Mobile users couldn’t even Whatsapp. U Mobile said that the issue was a one off and wasn’t related to anything sinister, but I’ve got a conspiracy in mind.

Maybank
Yesterday, 27th of March, Maybank also faced disruption in their services. Maybank users were unable to withdraw from ATMS, do Instant Transfers, get TACs, Reload, or access MEPS. This caused huge problems for people with Maybank, even our own editor of Business Today couldn’t get cash out to pay for his car wash. But what’s the bigger story here? The issue was soon updated, but it caused enough of a problem with enough people to warrant outrage.

Hi, we are sorry to hear that. Please be informed that we are currently experiencing unexpected intermittent for IBFT (Instant) via M2U, TAC (all Telco's), Reload & MEPS. We would suggest you to perform withdrawal via ATM. (1/2)

DiGi
And now it seems DiGi is also facing unexpected service interruptions and have estimated 4 hours before the problem is fixed. This will definitely cause a lot of turmoil for people trying to get a grab, surf the web, or make calls, especially in the mornings like this. With all this being said, is there something behind all these disruptions? What are these companies not telling us? Because having all these services disrupted, for long amounts of time in the span of a week; Can’t be a coincidence.
We regret to inform you that currently there's an unplanned service interruption. We're currently rectifying the issue and the service will be recovered as soon as possible(Estimated time 4 hours). Our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Update from DiGi:
DiGi has released a statement regarding their service disruption. Everything is back to up and running.
If there is something going on behind the scenes, what’s going to be the next service hit? What do you guys think? Is this all a coincidence, or is there something to it? Let us know in the comments if you’ve been affected by these outages and how it’s been for you. Keep in mind, this is all mere speculation, but what is true, is all these companies have some pretty angry customers right now.
