Oh boy, the Steam Summer Sale is about to arrive in just a few days! You know what that means: lots and lots of money spent on games that we’ll – I’ll – never actually complete. But do you really know how much you’ve spent on Steam games?

I fear the day my accountant finds out how much I’ve blown on games, but alas, the time has come. Indeed, Steam’s new Account Spend function lets you see how much you’ve spent in Steam, and not anywhere else. This means that if you’re like me, who also loves spotting bargain deals on Humble Bundle and Fanatical, your account is probably worth a bit more than what Valve is telling you.

If you want to avoid the crippling depression that comes after knowing how much money you’ve wasted  invested on games, you might want to pass on this. But you can’t hide the truth forever!
