CES 2018: New Kingston SSD and Type-C Media Hub Drops

New Kingston SSD storage entries and USB Type-C Media Hub makes a showing as Kingston seeks to entrench itself further into the portable storage space.

 

On schedule to arrive will be two new SSDs , an encrypted USB Flash drive, and Kingston Nucleum a 7-in-1 Type-C Media Hub that extends functionality for current generation MacBooks that do not have much of these ports and a multi-drive DCU1000 PCIe NVMe U.2 SSD in a 10-bay 1U rack-mount server for scalelability.

On show will be the Kingston DCU1000 and DCP1000 NVMe, showing off their playback, editing and color grading of 8K RED Raw and 4K 16-bit float EXR footage in real-time capability. As for the upcoming Kingstong UV500 SATA SSD family (2.5in, M.2 and mSATA) it will feature 3D NAND and TCG Opal. For the price conscious, Kingston has the A1000 M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD that shows consumers the advantages of PCIe performance over SATA.
