Big on the inside but compact on the outside. This is the Bitfenix Colossus Mini ITX.
Byline: By Din
In the dictionary, ‘co·los·sus (kəˈläsəs)’ is a noun that signifies a statue of titanic stature. So it seems ironic that Bitfenix uses it as the name of its Mini ITX casing. Even so, it is suitable for those who need a small enough PC to bring to LAN parties as the Colossus is certainly a looker.
Modern Take
The Bitfenix Colossus is all black, just like 99% of all casings in the market right now. However, that is where the similarities end as it is done up to look more like a cube with a rather large grill situated on top of the casing. One of the main attractions (or distractions) is the lighting band that runs from the left to the right of the casing, which can be litin either red, blue or green hues.
Packed Confines
Open the casing and you’ll find the confines looking very much like the Tardis. I really cannot believe how much space Bitfenix tried to squeeze into such a tight surrounding. Within are five HDD slots and there is even room to mount SSDs. Irony aside, this is honestly one of the best mini ITX casing that I have ever used. It’s a huge plus that your friends will give you a colossus look of envy during LAN parties.
