Say what you want about the Mandalorian but there’s no denying that the internet is pretty much in love with Baby Yoda. I mean, how can you not be? The character is the epitome of the word cute! Even Mando couldn’t resist it’s charm. Given how popular the character has become, it was only a matter of time before it got it’s own Funko Pop figurine.
The renown toy company actually announced that a Baby Yoda Funko Pop is in the works and opened up pre-orders for it back in December, with the toy scheduled to release in May 2020. Well, it’s been two month’s since pre-orders opened and Funko has now come out and announced that the toy has become the best-selling figure that it’s ever produced. Yup. This is in spite the fact that it only went on sale in December and is not even going to be released until May! Madness.
No news on the exact numbers such as how many people pre-ordered the figure and how much sales it’s generated but if it’s enough to make it the best selling toy Funko has ever made off pre-orders alone, you can bet your house that it’s a hell of a lot of people.
Baby Yoda figurines have been selling like hotcakes all around the world, with both the standard Baby Yoda Pop figure and the 10-inch version being sold out on Amazon. There’s even a life sized 16.5” tall Baby Yoda figurine out there put together by Sideshow Collectibles that’s meticulously detailed. It’ll cost you RM1517 but some would argue that it’s hella worth it.
