Asus Zenfone Max Pro, Quells Your Bingeing Habits At Sub 1K

When you mention Asus very unlikely smartphones come to mind, the computer brand is more popular for gaming notebooks and PC’s but the Taiwanese tech company is no stranger to mobile phones.

Having dabbled in the space numerous times, Asus is attempting a comeback and is trying to carve a niche in the extremely crowded business with a different approach. After its Indonesia launch Asus Malaysia is making the Zenfone Max Pro (M2), available for the local market. The phone is the successor to the M1 model and plays to its main purpose of being a smartphone for heavy consumption.

Equipped with 6GB RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor and a 5000mAh battery, the Max Pro is able to quench perpetual movie watching and obsessive gaming habits with the long hour play it possesses. Being a sub RM1k device you would have thought less about its capability but Asus has somehow managed to quell this perception by combining top-end parts into the Zenfone Max Pro. The 6.3″ FHD+ display uses Corning Gorilla Glass 6 that can withstand drops, the dual camera system is managed by a Sony IMX486 sensor with Phase-detection Autofocus and Electronic Image Stabilization, unlike some brands the components are smoothly integrated into the phone without making it look like a bad patch-up job.

It is comforting to know the Zenfone Max Pro is future proofed with a triple-slot tray giving end users a combine dual SIM slots with a microSD card slot for storage expansion that can be pushed up to 2TB.

The  phones are available for purchase withe 4GB+64GB going for RM859 while the 6GB+64GB is at RM999.
