Asus Zenfone 4 Pro First Commercial Gigabit Ready Smartphone

Achieving mobile speeds of 1GB is beyond comprehension right now, we are already enjoying super connectivity with 4G LTE which theoretically should be given us a couple of hundred megabits per second. Depending where we are or which network we are on, watching 4K video on a tiny screen of our mobile device is rather smooth and quite unhindered. But with 10x more the gigabit speed is coming and is just around the corner…

Qualcomm the chip manufacturers is playing the key role in promoting Gigabit speed on mobile devices and has been active testing them in real world scenarios. Now the US based tech firm is working with Asus and has deployed the first commercial smartphone to feature Gigabit LTE and 802.11ad multi-gigabit Wi-Fi technologies with the Asus Zen 4 Pro.

Integrated into the Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform, the Snapdragon X16 Gigabit LTE modem gives the ZenFone 4 Pro the ability to execute the download speeds even over 4G LTE, enabling users to download and share 4k videos in seconds. Moreover, connecting other devices, such as laptops, with the phone’s wi-fi hotspot does not effect the speed maintaining an end-to-end gigabit wireless connectivity.

Asus Zen 4 Pro is ready to offer end users the experience of gigagit speeds, however the network providers have yet fully deploy the LTE+ plus services that can reach up to 1GB speeds or even more, devices in the market are slowly increasing as the newer generation mobile devices capable of handling such speeds. Celcom and Digi have demonstrated on their network but limited to very small pockets.

The ASUS ZenFone 4 Pro is the top dawg of the series with Snapdragon 835, Adreno 540 GPU and 6GB of RAM others in the family include the ZenFone 4, Zenfone 4 Selfie and Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro.
