ASUS introduces its latest addition to its ASUS ZenBook 13 lineup, now capable of carrying up to the 8th Generation Intel Coffee Lake-H processors. There will be two variations for the new ASUS ZenBook 13, which can either carry the Intel Core i7-8550 or Intel Core i5-8250 processor.
Sticking with the same design elements, the ZenBook 13 features an all-metal unibody construction with magnesium-aluminium alloy, making it highly durable. This allows the ZenBook 13 to weigh at just 985 grams, making it much lighter than its predecessor. To ensure it can handle the most ardent of conditions and environments, the ZenBook 13 went through a series of military-grade tests, which accounts for extreme temperatures, altitudes and humidity.
At its core lies the all-new 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processors with 8GB RAM and up to 512GB of PCIe SSD storage. The Intel Core i7 processor can also be boosted to 3.7GHz if needed for faster processing speed and performance. The ASUS ZenBook 13 also promises a full day of battery life with a specially-designed 50Wh lithium-polymer battery, capable of delivering up to 15 hours on a single charge. It will also carry NVIDIA GeForce MX150 discrete graphics card for simple gaming users as well.
The display panel is a 13.3-inch NanoEdge Full HD display with slimmer bezels than its predecessor, giving itself an 80% screen-to-body ratio. It also comes with 178° wide-viewing technology, allowing you to see more from a wide angle. It also ensures accurate colour reproduction with its wide 100% sRGB color gamut. The Audio of the ASUS ZenBook 13 also gets the Harman Kardon certification with ASUS SonicMaster technology.
The keyboard of the ASUS ZenBook 13 is a full-size ergonomic keyboard with backlighting for easier typing in dimmer locations. The keys have a travel time of only 1.4 mm, making it easier and more comfortable when you’re typing for long hours. Right below it is the Windows Precision touchpad with a glass cover for smoother control and accuracy. There is also a built-in fingerprint sensor on the right side of the palm rest, giving you an added touch of security.
Aside from a reversible USB-C connector, the ASUS ZenBook 13 comes with two USB 3.1 Gen. 1 Type-A ports, an HDMI port and a microSD card reader. You can find the full specifications list below.
The ASUS ZenBook 13 (UX331UN) comes in two distinct colourways, Deep Dive Blue or Rose Gold. There will also be two variants of the ASUS ZenBook (UX331UN) in the Intel Core i5 or i7 processor, which will be priced at RM4,099 and RM5,699 respectively.
