Google Project Tango is no longer a project but ready to roll out, the search giant has been working for the past three years on this project that can help devices understand physical space and motion like how people do. Now this is possible with the first Tango-enabled phone Lenovo Phab2 Pro. The Phab 2 Pro is the world’s first smartphone to include Tango that enables augmented reality (AR) gaming and utilities.
You can measure objects with just your phone. Or visualize furniture like a new table or sofa to see how it looks in your home. Or simply play with your virtual pet. Wherever you go with the Phab 2 Pro, there’s always more to explore.

Tango works with a specialised hardware and app that overlay digital objects on top of actual surroundings. For example if you’re shopping for a new bed, Tango will let you view your bedroom through your phone and visualise different options,—even walk around the virtual furniture like it’s actually there.

Future uses could be to navigate a mall, museum or place, the feature can overlay directions to destination, then provide more info once you arrive. Its alreadey being worked and previewed with the National Art Museum of Catalumya.

Theres apps already available for users to try out, but will have to wait when more devices come with the new feature.
