A Year of Breakthrough Achievements

For APU, 2025 marked a defining chapter in its growth as a leader in higher education. The university’s focus on quality, innovation, and global recognition translated into milestones that enhanced its standing both nationally and internationally.

On the global front, APU became the first Malaysian university to receive Global Quality Accreditation from the UK’s Quality Assurance Agency (QAA), placing its standards alongside top British institutions.

Fostering Student Innovation and Practical Excellence

APU students showcased creativity and applied expertise through research and competitions. The Final Year Project Showcase 2025 featured innovation across 17 programmes, while the Ministry of Higher Education’s tracer study reaffirmed a 100% graduate employment rate.

Teams excelled in local and international arenas, from winning the UMCS Capture the Flag Finals to gaining recognition in hackathons, research expos, and innovation challenges. Strengthening global partnerships with industry leaders remains integral, offering students access to certifications, internships, mentorships, and live projects that bridge academic theory with practical application while opening direct recruitment channels.

Equally central is APU’s commitment to research, innovation, and entrepreneurship. By encouraging faculty and students to solve real-world challenges, the university ensures its graduates stand out as innovators and problem-solvers. Employability services will also expand beyond initial job placement to focus on long-term career mobility through alumni engagement, career platforms, and professional networking initiatives.

“Retaining high standards is about continuous improvement,” said Professor Ho. “We listen to our students, anticipate industry trends, invest in technology and pedagogy, and nurture a vibrant campus culture. Honouring Stakeholders

Professor Ho expressed heartfelt gratitude to students, alumni, and industry partners whose support was instrumental in APU’s recent recognition at the PC.com Readers’ Choice Awards.

“Your votes are not just an endorsement of our efforts but a reflection of the shared journey we take together,” he said. “Every recognition belongs equally to our students, as it is their creativity, resilience, and achievements that define us.”

This sense of shared accomplishment reflects APU’s philosophy that awards are not endpoints but milestones that inspire further innovation. The trust placed by students, graduates, and partners fuels the university’s drive to set higher standards, strengthen collaborations, and expand opportunities for real-world learning.
