I’m sure a lot of you know about the new game Among Us. It’s been pretty popular recently and I have to say, it’s a lot of fun too. I’ve only played the mobile app version because it’s free but it’s still pretty fun.
Playing as imposter is fun but stressful cause you have to make sure you’re not voted off. Did you know there are some tips and tricks that can make your job easier? So for today’s list, I will share you guys some of them as the Imposter:
Crowd Kill
You’ve probably seen this trick a few times from your favourite YouTubers but if you haven’t then here it is. Gather with the crewmates completing the same task, blend in. It can be any task but choose the ones where it will take the longest cause once there’s 4-5 people including yourself in the same spot, Kill. This will make it hard to determine who is the Imposter.
Defend a Crewmate
Yes, I know your job is to kill and make sure the other crewmates eject one of their own as much as possible but you gotta learn how to gain their trust too so in case someone suspects you, you’ll have people backing you up.
If a crewmate is being accused, defend them and if you saw them running anywhere or completing a task, point it out to the others. There is art in deception, learn it well, do it right and you might just get away with it.
AFK (Away From Keyboard)
This could work better if you’re in a group call and if there are 2 (or more) imposters. When the game starts, one of you just stand still, wait and stay quiet without muting your mic so it’ll make it more convincing that you’re not there. It may take a while but once a crewmate is in close range, kill them fast and return to your original spot.
Your fellow imposter(s) will play as normal and if they are voted off, at least you’re still there and you can resume to play as normal.
The Colour/Hat Change Cheat
Not sure if I should be teaching you guys this but if you wanna play dirty, here’s some info for you. So apparently there is a cheat to heighten the chances for you to be the imposter almost every round. I have yet to test this cheat but you guys can give it a shot.
In the lobby, be sure to stand by the computer. Once there’s enough people joining the lobby, there will be a 5 second countdown before the round start. Immediately after you see the 5 second countdown, use the computer to switch either your colour or your hat and don’t stop until the game starts.
So there you go, hope these will help you complete your tasks as the imposters. Just be sure to not get caught. Don’t be sus. You got 1 job so do it right.
