AWS is giving developers be it an individual starting his/her first blog or teams working for the largest software organisation in the world simple solutions to get to the cloud. Addressing customers who are and developers who just want a server in the cloud to deploy their code or run their software, the cloud storage provider launched Amazon Lightsail. An easy way for developers to launch a Virtual Private Server with just a few clicks.

The service includes everything customers need for projects such as web sites, blogs, custom applications, or development servers. With just three clicks; they simply choose a virtual private server image from a menu of over 10 images that includes Linux, WordPress, Drupal, and others, and select one of five server sizes. It then automatically launches the VPS, attaches the SSD-based storage, sets up the security groups, creates a Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), and then makes it simple for developers to set up the DNS and IP addresses.

With Amazon Lightsail, customers can use preconfigured operating system templates or pre-installed popular application setups. Running on the AWS Cloud, makes the service ready for scaling when the need arises. Amazon Lightsail is available immediately, and customers only needs to pay a simple monthly fee for each virtual private server, starting at $5 per month.
