When webe first rolled out in late September last year, many were stunned with their service plan proposition. Unheard of at that time was the unlimited data package under one single plan, no lock in period, no midnight data, no over convoluted options. This was a good deal that many consumers were waiting, however there was a slight discomfort on the proposition with selected customers.
Having had the freedom to tether on other networks, webe customers were restricted from turning their devices to mobile hotspots. If they do choose to, they would have to purchase a personal wifi pass for RM2 that will give them a two hour tethering time limit. Bonkers right? But being a peoples telco, webe heard the cries and answers them by introducing a 1GB free tethering for all new and existing customers for the next three months. On top of the offer, there will also be a new top-up option of 500MB mobile wifi for RM8, and users who cant finish within the 30 days limit can rollover the unused data for another 60 days.
This we feel will be putting broad smiles on all those techies, gamers, multi taskers (we know some of them), movie addicts, tech journalists (we know who they are) and those who seek to change the world with their next disruptive solutions and cant if they are unable to hotspot their mobile device.
