Akamai introduces new capabilities to their software.

Every single company wants their technology to be efficient. Akamai, provider of cloud services for delivering, optimising and securing online content and business applications has introduced several new capabilities to the company’s Web Performance Solution to improve their software’s efficiency.

Known as the SaaS Provider Option, these new features and capabilities are designed to allow Software-as-a-Service providers to use Akamai’s web application optimisation and performance solutions in a manner that closely aligns to how SaaS providers run their businesses.

The newly released SaaS Provider Option is designed to provide value in three distinct areas. It has faster provisioning, which decreases the amount of time required to spin up new customers in order to reduce operational costs and decreases time-to-market, via a new set of open APIs. It has granular reporting, which gives SaaS providers the ability to troubleshoot any potential performance or reliability issues and provide customer-specific value confirmation to the customers to improve overall customer satisfaction. It also has user-based billing that allows SaaS providers to take advantage of a user-based billing model for Akamai services.
