Just when you thought we couldn’t get enough Dota 2 tournaments, Acer Preadtor will be starting its Asia Pacific Predator League 2018 real soon. This will be the biggest Asia Pacific tournament, which will involve seven countries. The seven countries are Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, India and the Philippines.
With a total prize pool of US$150,000 and three months worth of Dota 2 action, each country will host an elimination round with Indonesia hosting the final round of the Predator League, presenting champions from all over Asia Pacific. The Malaysian round will have its own prize pool of RM55,000 with two Open Online Qualifying rounds. The first round falls on 4 and 5 November 2017 and the second qualifier falls a week later on 11 and 12 November 2017. Winners from both qualifiers will gather at Mid Valley Megamall on 25 and 26 November 2017 to face off in the finals.
“We are very excited for Malaysia to be part of the Predator League. It provides an avenue for gaming pro and enthusiasts here to pit their talents and sharpen their skills as they progress onto regional championships. We hope this gaming tournament will nurture even more vibrancy in the growing eSports scene in Malaysia,” said Chan Weng Hong, General Manager of Products, Sales and Marketing, Acer Malaysia.
