Acer Reveals New Predator Helios 500 and Special Helios 300 Laptops

As the Next@Acer Global Press Conference event kicks off in New York City, Jason Chen, CEO of Taiwan-based Acer introduces two new additions to its line of Helios gaming laptops. These are its new Acer Predator Helios 500 as well as a special Predator Helios 300.

The new Predator Helios 500 is a 15” gaming laptop sporting a black chassis with blue accents. Acer designs the machine to be more powerful than its Helios 300 counterpart. Alongside support of 144 Hz refresh rates at 4K resolution, it packs an 8th Gen Intel Core i9 processor and an NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1070 GPU. These come paired with the company’s AeroBlade 3D metal fans, designed to keep the machine cool.

The company also announces a special edition of its Predator Helios 300 line. As one of the most popular models worldwide, Acer wants to add more personality with a White and Gold edition. As the name implies, the chassis adorns a white look complemented by gold. The screen has been changed to a 144 Hz panel. Meanwhile, its key features include an 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, NVIDIA GeFoce GTX 1060 GPU, along with the proprietary AeroBlade 3D fans.
