Following the season of quarterly financial reporting for publicly listed mobile operators in the country , Maxis Telecommunication announced strong results on the back of increase in revenue growth on both prepaid and their solid postpaid segment.
The company has bounced back in stellar performance posting a 3.8% increase in prepaid and 2.7% on postpaid thanks to strong adoption of the MaxisOne plan with an adoption of 623,000 new customers. On the on going competition between three main operators on who has the strongest coverage for 4G, Maxis reported that it now has 71% coverage over population for the high speed connectivity and proclaims itself as the number 1 network in LTE.
Chief Executive Office, Morten Lundal opined “2015 was a winning year for us. We grew both in revenues and profits, year on year, and won market shares. Our modernised network now covers nearly 90% of population while our 4G LTE network has more than doubled to 71% of population coverage, making us the leader with the fastest and widest in the country.”
The CEO has steered the ship onto calmer seas after 2 years restructuring the largest mobile network company in the country. After seeing saw massive drop in user base and suffering from an identity crisis, Maxis today is a different company from inside to right down at retail. Customer complaint is at all time low and the focus on network has resulted in happier user experience.
