Celebrating its 45th anniversary in Malaysia, Fuji-Xerox unveils two new lines of digital colour multifunction devices (MFD) series, the ApeosPort-IV and DocuCentre-IV C7780/C6680/C5580 to better manage documents and printing high quality prints in a low power consumption and eco-friendly way. Targeted at corporations that require speed and productivity, the new digital colour multifunction devices are designed to ensure smooth business processes with an optimum layout of print devices to suit actual use. Based on the document lifecycle of Input, Create and Output, Fuji Xerox’s solutions help users visualise the print environment and digitising documents to reduce print volume.
“While we are thrilled with yet another technological innovation by Fuji Xerox, today also marks another joyous occasion as we commemorate Fuji Xerox Malaysia’s 45th anniversary celebration,” said Masahiko Saito, President of Fuji Xerox Malaysia. Saito went on to speak about Fuji Xerox’s commitment to create technological innovations that meet environmental standards. The company has embarked on a 360° of Sustainability initiative that employs green initiatives from the manufacturing up to the disposal of the used devices. Employees of Fuji Xerox also participate in recycling programs, tree planting activities and contribution to orphanages.
Key features in the ApeosPort-IV and DocuCentre-IV CC7780/C6680/C5580 are 70 pages per minute (ppm) for colour documents and colour duplex scanning speed of 200 page per minute (ppm). The series also uses 29-percent lower Typical Electricity Consumption (TEC) compared to previous generations of MFDs. Corporations can enable in-house production of sales promotion materials with the integrated paper cutter and full bleed A3 paper in the built-in Tray 1.
Conserving power when not in use, the new ApeosPort/DocuCentre-IV C7780/C6680/C5580 uses ‘smart power-saving technology’ that distributes power to areas for actual utilisation when the device recovers from energy saving mode. This reduces energy consumption up to 70-percent compared to former models. Furthermore, the scanning unit uses a power light-emitting diode (LED) lamp as its light source that needs 77-percent less electricity than former models.
Now the ApeosPort/DocuCentre-IV C7780/C6680/C5580 can perform colour single-pass duplex scanning, where the both sides can be scanned in a single pass without contacting the sensor and it scans the image data twice as before. This results in a colour duplex scan speed of 200ppm which outperforms the former models more than a fivefold.
Kohei Sakamoto, Deputy General Manager of Marketing, Fuji Xerox Malaysia said that currently Fuji Xerox is number one in the colour market with a 36-percent market share and with these new products, he hopes that the market share for Fuji Xerox will rise this year.
