In light of the recent announcement from our Prime Minister, people are going to have to find more things to do for the next three weeks.

Some may have plenty of books to read, while others can binge-watch on Netflix. As for gamers, they take full advantage of the situation as they are now able to log in to play when they couldn’t before.

We’ve even listed out some PC games you should play while cooped up at home. Though, understandably, not everyone will have all the games we’ve listed.

I’m here to introduce yet another game you can play at any time during these three weeks.

Child of Light is a game developed by Ubisoft back in 2014. It’s a role-playing game, with the gameplay taking more of a 2D approach.

The premise is as follows:

Set in the fantastical, watercolored world of Lemuria, Child of Light stars Aurora, a princess on a quest to save her kingdom with the help of a mystical companion named Igniculus. Throughout her journey, Aurora will recruit a colorful cast of allies to join her in the fight, confront enemies in turn-based combat, upgrade her team’s skills and gear to take on bigger challenges, and solve puzzles to progress through the world.

I’m usually not into 2D games myself, but even I have to admit that the game looks gorgeous. That’s saying a lot despite it being nearly six years old.

The 2014 game received great reviews, earning a 9.3 on IGN, 8.0 on Gamespot and 84% on Metacritic, just to name a few.

The game is available for free exclusively on Uplay. All you need to do is create an account and you’re set to play the game.

You should hurry, though. The game is only available for free until 28 March 2020, so you have until Saturday to claim it.
