With over 71 channels and 23,000 on-demand titles on tap, Astro is one (if not the biggest) entertainemnt provider in Malaysia. Now they are making the Astro GO (formerly known as Astro on the GO) app available for all subscribers, and they are throwing in a 60-day free access to them from now. This is in conjunction with the re-launch of the app, which is now revamped to be more relevant and personalised to individual users.

Celebrating the launch, the satellite broadcaster is throwing in free on demand channels for subscribers. This includes the award winning La La Land starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone. Subscribers can watch the movie starting from 25 April until May 31 2017. The promo excludes pay-per-view and sports channels.

Introduced in 2012 as an Over The Top (OTT) service provider, the app has now seen over 3 million downloads, over 71 channels and 23,000 on demand titles with over 1.1 million registered users. Viewership has also increased from 60 minutes to 215 minutes per user on average.

New channels that has been recently added includes, Comedy Central., K Plus for Korean drama fans, Aniplus Japanese Anime and pop culture. The already extensive library also expanded with Celestial Movies, Nickelodean, Diva, AXN and Kix, Astro Go app is available on Android and iOS.
