When the world throws lemons, you make lemonade. That’s exactly what Qatar Airways has come up with thanks to the recent rule by UK and US to restrict in flight carrying of devices larger than a smartphone. The airline company is offering free laptops for passengers use instead, filling the needs of their customers 30,000 feet in the air.

Travellers affected by the ban on the Doha-based airline can now use Qatar-owned laptops, which is available for loan on all of their US-bound flights. Currently its the only airline to offer passengers a replacement laptop on all flights to the US in response to the electronics ban.
The complimentary laptops will be available to Business Class passengers travelling from next week and can be collected for use after boarding. Passengers can download their data onto a USB drive before the board to be used with the supplied laptops.
