Retrieve Your Android Notifications History

If you’re a long-time Android user, you may have accidentally swiped away a notification that you wanted to read, or even cleared all notifications before you had a chance to review them all. Today’s app recommendation comes in the form of Unnotification, that provides users a quick glance into their notification past.

Stock Android users have a method of retrieving their notification history via a Settings option called “Notification Log”. It takes several steps to get the Notification Log shortcut onto your homescreen, so Unnotification brings the power of the Notification Log by just downloading the app and allowing permissions.

Liveatpc.com tested out the app and it really does show a complete history of your notifications. For more detailed information, you can tap on the individual notification to expand it. The information displayed is quite technical, so this is only recommended for programmers or higher.

Unnotification is free to download and to use, but you can donate to the creator to support them.

If you have Stock Android and don’t want to download an app, just long press on the homescreen, select Options and choose the Notification Log 1×1 icon. Some reports have noted that it is not as user-friendly as Unnotification’s log.
