The Asia Pacific Predator League 2019 returns for the second year. This second edition follows the successful organisation of the first Asia Pacific Predator League earlier this year. This year’s tournament features participating from 16 countries – doubled from last year. It will also be hosting regional tournaments for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) and DOTA2.

Not only is the event bigger and better, the total prize money has also grown. From a total prize pool of US$150,000 in the previous league to a total of US$400,000.
The Asia Pacific Predator League 2019 will be held 15 to 17 February 2019 at the Nimibutr Stadium, Bangkok, Thailand. A throng of eSports players from the participating countries in the Asia Pacific region – Taiwan, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Japan, Singapore, Australia, India, China, Macau, Hong Kong, Myanmar and Sri Lanka, are expected to converge in Bangkok to show off their skills in February 2019.
Gaming enthusiasts in Malaysia who want a shot at this year’s total prize pool of RM100,000 worth of cash and prizes can register online now. The prize pool breakdown is RM56,000 cash for DOTA2 and RM10,000 cash for PUBG, and another RM34,000 worth of prizes.
For DOTA2, there are offline qualifiers to be held at six cybercafes (Mineski Teluk Cempedak Kuantan, M&M Premium eSports Café Ipoh, Mineski Arena Johor, Mineski Setiawangsa KL, Mineski Arena Kajang and Eternity eSports Penang) and four online qualifiers. The qualifiers will meet for the Malaysian Grand Finals in One Utama Shopping Centre from 2 to 4 November 2018. The champion will bring home the lion’s share (RM25,000) of the prize pool of RM56,000 cash.
For PUBG, there are four online qualifying rounds which will be held on 29 to 30 September, as well as 13 to 14 October 2018. All top five squad from the four online qualifying rounds will be playing in the finals in Empire City Mall, Damansara Perdana from 27 to 28 October 2018. The winner will go home with a total of RM4,000 and a Predator Aethon 500 keyboard.
