Ahead of Tokyo Game Show 2018, Square Enix has released a brand new trailer for Kingdom Hearts III, featuring its Big Hero 6 world. Though this world was announced very early on in Kingdom Hearts 3’s marketing, the company is only showing off the colourful San Fransokyo and its heroes right now.
The trailer features a fairly hefty amount of dialogue, as well as bosses and mini-games, set to the tune of the game’s theme song, ‘Don’t Think Twice’ by Utada Hikaru. Some other new scenes also appear, such as of Davy Jones and Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean. Elsa from Frozen, and Rapunzel from Tangled. Furthermore, the trailer shows off the Gummiphone, which allows Sora to take selfies throughout the game.
Square Enix also revealed the official box art for Kingdom Hearts III. This new artwork features director Tetsuya Nomura’s signature style, focusing on some of the key characters throughout the series’ history. This box art will be used for releases in both Japan and the west.

According to Nomura, more reveals will be shown through TGS 2018. The event takes place in two days, from 20th to 23rd September 2018.
Kingdom Hearts III is set to release on 29th January 2019 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
